Helly Tech Protection REPELLENT Helly Tech is built with membranes and coating technologies based on Polymer Polyurethane (PU). The PU membrane gives softness and elasticity to the fabric, while the coating allows for waterproofing and breathability. Helly Tech is manufactured with hydrophilic barrier membranes or microporous membranes, depending on the end use of the fabric. BREATHABLE The hydrophilic barrier works on an osmotic principle, preventing salts from entering and blocking pores. Microporous PU membranes are hydrophobic «water-hating» polymers. This membrane construction is responsible for Helly Tech’s waterproofness, making pores up to 20,000 times smaller than water droplets, while allowing perspiration as the pores are up to 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, allowing evaporation of sweat and heat. SEAMSEALED Helly Tech is actually more than just a fabric – it’s a combination of a DWR treated outer fabric, a highly breathable and waterproof membrane, fully taped seams and often a highly breathable inner fabric, mesh or lining. The seams of the products are glued with a waterproof tape and glue, preventing water from entering the small gaps between the seams.

This is a really good quality body warmer , ideal for layering up for hiking and camping, its lightweight and offers really good warmth and insulation on cold days , its not too big or bulky when worn under a jacket and is great to just wear over a shirt for hiking or for smart casual wear with jeans.It’s a really versatile item of clothing that’s gonna come I very handy on my future hikes and camping adventures, it’s made from quite tough 30d material, so it’s definitely designed for the outdoors, I’ll be wearing it as a mid layer in the colder months under my waterproof jacket or on its own if I get too warm.I like that it’s got zip pockets too with good quality zips , the inner pockets will also come in handy too, you can never have too many pockets when your out hiking and camping in the outdoors.The fit is really good and it fits as expected, it’s really well made as I’ve come to expect from Helly Hansen clothing , I’m impressed with the quality, it’s lightweight but offers a lot of warmth and comfort on a chilly day.I’m pleased with this insulated jacket , it’s really good quality.

Wir haben eigentlich genau die richtige Jahreszeit für Westen. Genau für diese Temperaturen sollte sie gemacht sein und Wind abhalten können.Die Helly Hansen Weste kommt unspektakulär in einer Tüte und Karton verpackt. Beim Auspacken und ersten Ansehen und Anziehen fällt die Verarbeitung positiv ins Auge. Keine schief sitzende Naht, keine losen Fäden. Die Reißverschlüsse sitzen akkurat.Die Kammern sind gut gefüllt ohne zu prall zu sein. Sie ist über die Nieren zum Gesäß hin länger geschnitten hat zwei RV Taschen rechts und links. Leider keine Innentasche vorhanden.Sonst ist sie bis auf das reflektierende HH Logo recht schlicht gehalten. Die Armöffnungen sind größer als bei anderen Westen die ich habe. Vorteilhaft wenn man etwas dickeres darunter trägt. Ich trage in der Regel dünne Funktionsoberteile bei kälterem Wetter, da habe ich damit gerechnet das die Öffnung etwas zu groß sein wird. Tatsächlich war dies nicht besonders gravierend.Der Schnitt der Größe L ist angenehm ohne zu groß zu sein. Sie wurde jetzt bereits mehrfach bei Wind und Außentemperaturen um 8-12 Grad getragen. Für mein Empfinden hat sie ihren Job sehr gut erledigt. Allerdings war ich dabei normal in Bewegung. Der Wind wurde gut geblockt und auch der Front RV war keine Schwachstelle für den Wind.Ganz klar sollte sein, dass wohl der ideale Temperaturbereich zwicshen 10-20 Grad liegt. Darunter würde ich sie nicht wirklich empfehlen und dafür ist sie ja auch nicht gemacht. Durch den hinten längeren Schnittt deckt sie auch die Kältempfindlichen Stellen gut ab und der Schnitt erlaubt eine wirklich gute Bewegungsfreiheit. Die Weste hat einen gut dimensionierten Stehkragen der auch nicht zu eng geschnitten ist. Die Weste kann somit auch gut mit geschlossenem Kragen getragen werden.Sehr positiv empfand ich das leichte Gewicht. Das Tragegefühl ist wirklich angenehm. Leichter Nieselregen wurde abgewiesen, aber ich würde sie nochmal imprägnieren, da nichts unangenehmer ist als eine Weste die sich direkt vollsaugt.Fazit: Mir gefällt die Weste richtig gut. Die Verarbeitung ist beanstandungslos von hoher Qualität. Sie trägt sich angenehm und leistet gute Arbeit bei Wind und Temperaturen bis 10 Grad.
